Tunnel Stellingen

Indentation of the draft planning via a preferred execution planning for three tunnel blocks

The DEGES Deutsche Einheit Fernstraßenplanungs- und –bau GmbH plans, as ordered by the City of Hamburg the expansion of the BAB A 7 between the motorway junction HH-Northwest and the Elbtunnel. The goal is the extension of the existing motorway.

The second planning segment Stellingen includes the 8-lane expansion of the AS HH-Volkspark to the AD HH-Northwest. It has a length of 4,2 km.

Within this measure the new construction of the tunnel Stellingen (BW T 216 Tunnel Stellingen) is scheduled due to sound protection-based reasons. The massive noise protection tunnel is build via cut-and-cover method with a total length of approx. 900 m between the existing bridges EÜ Güterumgehungsbahn (km 149+816,069) in the north and Kieler Street (km 150+708,531) in the south.

Due to the geometric requirements stemming from the traffic location, this is a tunnel with exceptionally big span widths.

In order to capture the ramifications of the guideline changes (introduction Eurocode) during the planning end and in order to reach the planning safety required for the preparation of the tender, the structure draft for three tunnel blocks of the structure T 216 had to be indented.

Hereby, three tunnel blocks were examined:
_tunnel block 32 (from km 150+440,00 to 150+460,00) – standard cross section
_tunnel block 42 (from km 150+640,00 to 150+660,00) – expansion
_tunnel block 44 (from km 150+700,00 to 150+720,00) – tunnel end

ZPP was commissioned with the project planning in section 3 - civil engineering structures for the services phase 5 (execution planning), as well as the specialist planning in section 1 - structural planning for the service phases 4 to 5 (approval planning) according to HOAI (Official Scale of Fees for Services by Architects and Engineers). Furthermore, variant and profitability surveys were also part of the service.
