Lersøgrøften

Structural planning of the precast elements for the construction of a stowage canal

Over the course of several improvements and the expansion of the sewer system in Copenhagen, the last remaining open sewer, the Lersøgrøften, was piped. The open sewer with a length of 1.800 m, with a depth of 5-8 m and a width of 8-12 m was renatured and a new stowage canal with tunnel elements and precast elements was erected.

ZPP or the predecessor company was commissioned with the creation of a verifiable, static calculation, as well as the associated formwork plans and structural drawings for the precast elements that were to be used in the construction process. For the frame profiles with a rectangular cross section of 4,00 m / 2,15 m, several concrete cover relations and a mathematically valid crack width of wK = 0,2 mm had to be accounted for.
