Visit from the High North

The City of Gothenburg is facing great challenges in maintaining and expanding its canal network. A delegation from Göteborger Wasserbetriebe was on an excursion in Germany, in search of new approaches and expert knowledge (Göteborgs Stad – Kretslopp och vatten).

In addition to production sites of high-quality reinforced concrete pipes from Berding Beton GmbH and construction sites of the Emschergenossenschaft, the delegation from Sweden arrived at the 14th of June 2018 at ZPP in Bochum to discuss quality requirements for sewage pipes, technical solutions for pipe jackings and other aspects in the field of underground line construction.

Representatives of Gothenburg’s Stad, the RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, KIWA Deutschland GmbH and BERDING Beton GmbH sat together with ZPP. The meeting was characterised by intensive discussions and a technically informative exchange of information and was therefore a complete success for all participants.
