Restoration Weser-Lutter

1st section successfully completed – 2nd section commissioned

The redevelopment of the 120-year old Weser Lutter canal in Bielefeld is an important task for the environmental services of the City of Bielefeld. A major challenge was the structural implementation of the first construction phase in the inner-city area between the closely adjacent existing buildings, which was successfully completed in a construction period of about 2,5 years by the contractor Klaus Stewering GmbH, Borken.

ZPP accompanied the client in the realisation of the first segment of construction, from the first condition survey through the development of remediation concepts and variant studies and their ideas in politics and the public to planning and construction supervision. We would like to thank you for the good and constructive cooperation with all parties involved in the project!

Following the successful completion of the first construction segment, ZPP was also awarded the contract for the planning services for the second construction phase over a length of more than 1,0 km. We are pleased to be able to accompany the client during the continuation and conclusion of this challenging and exciting project.
