Dr.- Ing. Ludger Speier was awarded an honorary professorship

The department of civil engineering of the Bochum University of Applied Sciences awarded the honorary professorship to Dr.-Ing. Ludger Speier, during a ceremony on the 21^st of April, 2016.

The letter of appointment was handed over by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Jürgen Bock. Afterwards, Prof. Speier eleborated the importance and relevance of tunnelling and explained the development of construction methods.

The event was complemented by a get-together where professors, guests from business as well as students could socialise and network. For this, the Geothermal Centre of the university provided the ideal framework with nice weather.
