Sewer redevelopment Bahnhofstraße

Structural stability survey and project planning for the redevelopment of a walkable sewer

For the walkable sewer in the Bahnhofstraße, Cologne-Porz, a need for redevelopment was assessed over a total length of approx. 1,2 km. The affected sewer proceeds inside the city and crosses the railway path by Deutsche Bahn.

The concrete sewer with sparse heights of 1,80 m to 1,05 m showed a longitudinal crack in the apex, over long distances and aside from leakage and operational limitations.

After the condition assessment and evaluation, ZPP was also commissioned with the further redevelopment planning. Over the course of this planning, a non-linear structural stability calculation in the form of a variant examination was processed as a special service. Apart from that, a monitoring concept for the supervision of the sewer was to be created up until its static strengthening.

The services were rendered by ZPP in accordance with the Official Scale of Fees for Services by Architects and Engineers, project planning in section 3 - Civil engineering structures, service phases 1 to 8 (basic evaluation, pre-planning, draft planning, approval planning, execution planning, preparation of the contract awarding, participating in the contract awarding process, site management) including the construction supervision on site.
