Sportarena Allmend

Structural planning for the new construction of the stadium roof

The sports arena Allmend consists of a soccer stadium with a capacity of 17.000 spectators, a sports building with an appendant swimming bath, a double gym, a building for different service offers and two residential skyscrapers. A big subterranean garage is situated underneath the buildings mentioned above.

The construction of the stadium roof consists of up to 22 m overhanging, radially positioned with steel-trussed girders sporting gaps of 20 to 22 m, being laid up on triangle-shaped concrete plates, respectively on tractive and pressure pillars. The wall plate situated on the main floor and the foundation transom connects the support points of the roof cantilever beam. The substructure of the stands was erected with cast-in-situ concrete. The stands are precast elements.

The whole building is standing on swimming driven piles that transfer the burden into the construction ground.

The commissioned service included with the specialist planning in section 1 - structural planning, service phase 5 (execution planning) according to HOAI (Official Scale of Fees for Services by Architects and Engineers).
