Project planning - replacement new construction of the bridge over the Dortmund-Ems sewer

The Provinzial street is led over the Dortmund-Ems sewer through a two-lane bridge structure in the south of Datteln. Over the course of the widening of the sewer, the demolition of the bridge is scheduled. The existing structure crosses the Dortmund-Ems sewer (German abbreviation: DEK) with a supporting width of 60,70 m, the total width of the bridge amounts to 11,00 m.

The bridge was finished in the year 1948. The construction consists of a steel girder bridge with gantry crossbeams. The carriageway slab is constructed as a composite construction. The existing structure is assigned to bridge class 45 (30/30, in accordance with DIN 1072).

Over the course of the expansion of the Dortmund-Ems sewer, the Wasserstraßen-Neubauamt Datteln commissioned ZPP with the project planning and variant investigations for the planning of the traffic installations of the replacement new construction of the bridge.

The frame of the new crossing structure will be erected in the same location as the existing structure while being produced as a steel bowstring bridge with an external structure and carriageway slab via reinforced concrete composite construction.
